The Railroad Grade trail
runs along the Easton Glacier
Moraine for about one mile.
Good camping can be found
at the end on the north side. |

Location
Mt Baker is located in the Baker
Snoqualmie National Forest.
|
The Easton Glacier is a
straight forward glacier climb.
Stay to the north of the ice fall,
on the Deming glacier side.
Bring wands, about 150. |

Getting There
From I-5 take highway 20
to Baker Lake road. Turn Right
and continue up the road to
Schriebers Meadow turn off
road # 13.

Permits
No permits are required to climb
Mt Baker, although self registration
recommended and available at the
trail head. A parking pass is
required to park at the trail head. |
The first picture is
looking
East from the West side of the
crater. The summit is to the left
in this picture ( Grant Peak ),
Sherman Peak is the peak on
the right.
The crater on Mt Baker does
release steam.Do not venture
into the steam vents! |
