South Trail To Mt. Elbert from Twin Lakes Mt. Elbert is the third highest on the list of highest state peaks in the U.S., behind Mt. McKinley, AK and Mt. Whitney, CA.

At Elbert Creek Campground
Located about 1/4 mile from the NE Ridge Trail for $6 a night

Mt. Elbert is located in the North Sawatch Range in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. It was first summitted in 1874 by H.W. Stuckle.
