Mile One
For the first few miles
the trail is very green,
as it goes through the
temperate rain forest of
the Hoh River valley. |

Location
Mt Olympus is located in the
Olympic National Park on the
Olympic Peninsula of Washington
State. A ferry ride is often
needed to get to the park. |
Hoh River
The trail stays within
a mile of the Hoh River
for 14 miles. |

| Elk Lake Shelter
As you get with in a
couple of miles of Elk
Lake open fires are no
longer permitted.
We stopped at the
Elk Lake Shelter for a
break and some water. |

Permits
A permit is required to climb or camp
in the National park and can be
obtained at the visitor's center located
at the Hoh Rain Forest entrance.
