Route Description
General Information


In the parking lot, Kurtz
gives Paul reassurance the
weather is not as bad as it
looks. While Joe tries to 
figure out where his 
group gear is.

Route

Kautz Glacier route, with a night on the
summit. The trip lasted 5 days.

 

Paul and Paul try to stay 
entertained in the tent on 
day two, while it rained and 
snowed outside.

On day three Neal, Joe
and the two Pauls learned
that 25 yards visibly
is normal on Mt Rainier.


  Permits

A climbing permit is required to camp above 10,000ft on Mt Rainier. Permits can be
purchased from the Paradise ranger station for $15.00

Day four at 9,200 ft.
This camp site has a
great view of the entire
route, as well as the 
Muir Snowfield.
