Creek crossing

creek crossings.
The second can be quite
a hazard if the water is

This is the view looking

the forest service road,
that we drove in on.

Location

Vesper and Sperry peaks
are located near Barlow
pass on the mountain loop
highway. The Mountain
loop highway runs from
Granite falls to Darrinton.

Headlee pass

Headlee pass is at the end
of the valley.  Twenty or
thirty switch backs later
and you are on top of
this 4,600 ft pass.

Permits

No permit is required
to climb on Vesper
peak. However a
parking pass is needed
to park at the trailhead..

you can view towards
Vesper and our camp

  Parking Pass

A Parking pass can be purchased
at the Verlot ranger station,
on the Mountain Loop Highway.

 

The Creek

At the next creek the trail
turns to the west, towards
the lake that  we will be
camping at.
