Trail Head

This is base camp for the
1998 Whitehorse climb.
Unload the quad, set up
the cot and your home.

Switch Backs

Location

Mt.Whitehorse is located
3 miles southwest of
Darrington, Washington
and rises over 6000 vertical
feet in that distance.

Lone Tree Traverse

Above the switchbacks the
trail turns into snow.Chris
in this picture heads towards
Lone Tree Pass.

Route

Northwest Shoulder:
Turn south off hwy 530
at the Whitehorse store,
on to 387 Ave NE. The
road turns into Whitehorse
trail # 653.

Lone Tree Pass

This is the view looking back
from Lone Tree Pass towards
the Darrington valley.
