  1. Send us your story, which we will share with Congress. Like you, we learned about the offset/windfall just months before our retirement.  
  2. Join the Letter Writing Campaign by writing your Representative and Senator.

  4. Donations: We need your help to continue our work. With a mailing list of more than 900, each newsletter cost over $250 in postage, printing etc. Any donation would be used in meeting these expenses.

Our goal is to contact legislators and get 100% participation in cosponsoring Social Security GPO and WEP reform.  They need to cosponsor the McKeon/Berman HR 594 Bill to repeal the GOP/WEP. In the Senate - ask your Senators to cosponsor Sen. Feinstein's S.349 the companion bill.
 

  1. Write your representative! Write from your heart. It is important to keep your letters to one page. 
  2.  Describe how you feel about the Government Pension Offset (GOP) or the Windfall Elimination Provisions (WEP) and what  affect it has had on you, your family, your needs to buy medicine, etc.  
  3. Tell how much of YOUR money you are losing each month due to the Offset/Windfall. 
  4. Remind your representative THEY RETURN AT ELECTION TIME  AND ASK FOR YOUR VOTE. IT IS OUR TIME TO ASK FOR THEIR VOTE.

Go to the U.S. House of Representatives web page - www.house.gov then go to the section identified as "Thomas" look for Search bills, by topic, number (highlight and click). Look for - 2. Bill Number - enter a house bill as example HR 664 (click). Look for - Link to Bill Summary & Status (highlight and click). Go to Cosponsors (click). You can either sort the list by date or Alphabetic (click). It may take a few tries, but experiment with this and you find that it easy.
